I turned into a jazz cat and it's bleeding into the show. The new bit, Honor System, has me playing an upright bass solo written by my bass teacher, and Doctor Stockdale. I love it. But, I'm good buddies with the best vibes player I ever heard (is that saying anything?) and we play all the time, so that sound is in my head. Teller and I decided to change the end of Honor System from piano to vibes. The Doctor was all over it and wrote a piece with Chris to end Honor System on vibes. We bought a big old Musser and Chris started working with Teller. They were a good team and in just a few days, Teller stopped making chowder. He sounded great. Last night, we threw it in. I played the piece as badly as I ever have, just to make sure Teller didn't have a chance. He did great and it really helped the bit. It's just great. It's going to really swing. Now, the pre-show will be changed to bass and vibes. Penn & Teller, the musical. Man, Teller learned that fast.
